I started working as a letter carver in wood in Edinburgh.   Now living in Devon, I am mostly interested in producing my own work ; and also teaching, both groups and one to one.

After many years of working in design and woodworking,  I discovered letter carving by chance and it became a passion that has given me much enjoyment and a satisfying way to express my creativity.

Clients have included Historic Scotland;  the Loretto School, Musselburgh;  Edinburgh International Festival;   the Columba 1400 charity;   the Scottish Storytelling Centre,  Edinburgh;   Loch Leven Heritage Project;   Portobello Old Church;  Marchmont St Giles church, Edinburgh;  the Borders Forest Trust and Benjamin Tindall Architects, Edinburgh.

Galleries exhibiting my work have included the Royal Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh;  the Open Eye Gallery, Edinburgh;  Wolseley Fine Arts, London and #10 Gallery, Royal Terrace Edinburgh.

If you are interested in commissioning or purchasing work or learning or discussing  letter carving, please contact me.
